The Guidance Center (TGC) in Leavenworth, Kansas, is actively seeking an experienced Therapist to join our innovative interdisciplinary team. As a reputable Community Mental Health Center and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties, TGC is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children, adolescents, and their families. • Provide evidence-based practices to youth involved with the local court systems.
• Effectively coordinate with and receive youth referrals from juvenile court services, juvenile court judges, and local school staff.
• Report client outcomes and records of participation to referring court entities.
• Meet routinely with juvenile court officers, judges, and school personnel to assess the effectiveness of the program.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling. Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LCMFT by the start of employment.

Preferred: LAC, LCAC or LMAC licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Two semesters of master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting, providing assessment and therapy services

Preferred: Post-master's clinical experience and familiarity with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices
