Account Manager (National Accounts)

Under the direction of the VP/GM, manages corporate move management activities and clients serviced by the organization and its affiliated companies. Position interacts with several internal service areas, including Ops, Sales, Accounting, Contracts and Purchasing to ensure that all relocation activities are performed in accordance with contractual, industry, client and government regulatory requirements. Position also interacts with accounts, transferees, and third-party carriers.

Manage the successful execution of corporate household goods moves on a daily basis.
• Evaluate, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated move-related issues from supervisors.
• Possess knowledge of household goods claims processes.
  
  • Develop and manage a supplier network based on:
  • Carriers' experience handling corporate accounts and their quality/performance.
  • Ensuring timely job completion while maintaining or exceeding agreed-upon service levels.
• Allocating business to network providers according to established targets.
• Identify potential revenue opportunities from Move Management vendors.
• Ensure client retention through effective service delivery.
• Oversee supplier selection and lead contract negotiations.
• Drive business development efforts for move management, with a focus on expanding the household goods management program.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement a streamlined technological solution for shipment allocation.
• Establish and manage a quality control process to track and analyze customer satisfaction surveys across corporate and government business lines, including GSA 3080s.
• Attend off-site conferences as required.
• Supervise data auditing for benchmarking and compliance.
• Ensure the completion and proper filing of all required reports.
• Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations.
• Maintain compliance with all contractual guidelines.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
• Complete any necessary corporate or government reporting as required by the program.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as move management systems or comparable software.
• Knowledge of the household goods moving industry.
• Experience with federal government procurement processes.
• Expertise in move management services, household goods claims, and tariff regulations.
• Supplier management experience.
• Strong Customer Service and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with strong follow-through skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, follow, and comply with strict protocol guidelines.
