We are looking for a Distribution Manager II to support our team by working with key business partners in manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing and finance to support the development and delivery of the distribution strategy. As a Trex Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the people, processes, technologies, and strategies in the Railing Warehouse, specifically materials handling, light manufacturing support, powder coating, co-pack/kitting, and other warehouse functions including inventory control. This role is a key member of our Distribution and Transportation team.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead a complex warehouse operation with 4 business units focused on delivering superior service to our customers while managing costs, improving processes/quality and meeting company objectives (service levels, sales goals - especially quarter end, inventory accuracy, cost, etc.).
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the future light manufacturing/powder coating activities performed at the site.
  • Support the receipt, storage, and inventory management of production materials and inventory to support powder coating activities.
  • Oversight of a 7 day per week - 2 shift distribution operation encompassing a 475k sq. ft. warehouse operation with co-pack/kitting operations, marketing/ecommerce, and fulfillment of retail and pro-channel customer orders.
  • Create an environment of continuous improvement by leading from the front to support the growth of the business, support the development of budgets and provide strong expense management.
  • Coordinate with transportation managers the needs of the site and provide feedback relative to rates, contracts, and carrier performance.
  • Work with supply chain to ensure proper procedures are in place to support inventory accuracy exceeding 98%.
  • Support the development of talent within the site including the distribution leadership trainee program as well as developing a talent bench of future leaders through mentoring and coaching practices.


Position Type: Full-Time Onsite

Direct Reports: 3 logistics site supervisors, 1 maintenance technician with potential future growth to include 2-4 powder coating supervisors

EXPERIENCE

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain/logistics, business administration, or other relevant discipline.
  • 8+ years relevant warehousing/logistics/supply chain experience or a combination of manufacturing and supply chain experience.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with change management.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.


Preferred:



  • Experience leading people leaders.
  • Project management experience.
  • ERP & WMS systems background.
  • Experience with labor management and/or yard management systems.



BASE SALARY RANGE: $125,000-$130,000 annually

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual and/or sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
