DESCRIPTION

As part of the Department of Surgery, the Center for the Future of Surgery (CFS) is a world class facility which is advancing surgery techniques by investigating, developing, testing, and teaching procedures that will revolutionize the field of surgery. The goal of the Center for the Future of Surgery is to continually improve and expand surgery options using emerging technology so that patients experience less pain and better outcomes.

This position is the single point of contact for internal and external clients to plan training and educational labs, courses, and events at the Center for the Future of Surgery (CFS).

Incumbent serves as liaison between the CFS and internal and external clients, providing guest relations and planning of courses/ labs for the CFS. Key responsibilities include planning and managing multiple events and courses per month through communication with internal and external clients. Arranging event details, providing guidance to internal and external clients, ensuring a high level of quality and customer service, and coordinating with CFS staff. Assists in the effective administration and operation of the CFS. Resolves inquiries and problems. Serves as an expert in CFS and surrounding campus resources and capabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in event planning.

  • Demonstrated excellent client relations and customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where others rely on your work to be successful.

  • Ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, understand, and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated consistency in communicating with tact and maturity.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with respect to all aspects of communication. Demonstrated communication skills in working effectively with a diverse group of clients and staff.

  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check.

  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends; evenings and weekends may be required.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation.

  • Overtime may be required.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $40,700 - $85,295 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $19.49 - $40.85

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
