Elwyn seeks a Director of Workforce Management to serve as a strategic leader responsible for driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role involves leveraging workforce metrics, labor market data, and predictive modeling to optimize human resource capacity planning, enhance forecasting accuracy, and improve workforce decision-making. The Director collaborates with operations leadership to develop efficient data collection methods, create insightful reporting, and identify workforce trends. This position serves as an analytics subject matter expert, playing a pivotal role in maintaining workforce schedules and transforming data into meaningful visualizations and reports. In this role, this position empowers HR and Operational leaders with essential information to develop and optimize strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop, implement, and monitor workforce management optimization strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, alignment, and overall performance of the organization
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure workforce management performance, utilization, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies in all workforce management activities
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of workforce management solutions Analyze workforce trends, including headcount, turnover, and skill gaps, to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage the scheduling staff, activities, and goals and ensure that the staff has the information needed to appropriately analyze, forecast, and schedule work
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure workforce needs are met efficiently
  • Lead quantitative analysis activities using workforce metrics and labor market data
  • Create predictive models to enhance forecasting accuracy and support workforce planning
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Develop efficient data collection processes to capture relevant workforce data
  • Design and produce regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations for workforce changes
  • Present findings to senior management and provide recommendations for workforce optimization
  • Establish data governance policies and ensure data integrity
  • Implement quality control measures to validate data accuracy
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to the scheduling staff
  • Work with, understand, and comply with terms and conditions of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) within a unionized environment with tasks including but not limited to adherence to scheduling procedures, processing transfers and promotions, administering disciplinary actions, adjudicating grievances, where appropriate, etc.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:



  • Five (5) years of related work experience demonstrating progressively responsible technical expertise
  • Demonstrated experience with Time and Leave and scheduling analysis
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle Reports, or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to integrate diverse perspectives, foster innovation and accomplish objectives through managing, coaching, and developing a team
  • Experience in the healthcare field is highly desired
  • Previous experience working within and managing a unionized workforce preferred
  • Non-profit human service experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize competing, priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
  • Must possess excellent customer interaction, presentation, written and verbal communication
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred
