The Project Manager (PM) will manage a full scope of Environmental, Munitions and HTRW remediation services to include assisting/authoring preparation of plans and reports, planning, and executing all field activities. The PM will also assist with preparation of bids and proposals, cost estimating, research, and resource management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages/leads all aspects of environmental investigations (PA, RI/FS, SI) and remediation projects;
  • Coordinates all field activities, planning documents, reporting documents and Profit/Loss for projects;
  • Communicates/coordinates daily with on-site project teams and support staff;
  • Submits draft and/or final planning documents (such as, but not limited to - Uniform Federal Policy - Quality Assurance Project Plan (UFP-QAPP), MR-QAPP, Sampling and Analysis Plan, Health and Safety Plan);
  • Submits draft/final reports for remediation projects (such as, but not limited to - Site Specific Final Report/Remedial Action Completion Report, Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study Report, Proposed Plan, Record of Decision);
  • Delivers monthly status reports and invoices for clients on various projects;
  • Assists procurement personnel in developing technical specifications, reviewing bids and negotiating with subcontractors; and
  • Develops proposals including but not limited to reviewing RFP, developing technical approach, Red Team reviews, and pricing/LOE discussions.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of project experience in management of environmental remediation projects to include experience with CERCLA, RCRA and TSCA regulations and other federal and state regulations for environmental investigations, remedial actions, waste transportation and disposal activities;
  • Project experience with munitions response projects and experience with MMRP guidance such as EM-200-15, RI QAPP Toolkit 1 and other relevant MMRP project guidance;
  • Experience managing federally funded remedial projects, specifically for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and/or Department of Defense installation projects; FFP and cost reimbursable project experience is a plus;
  • Experience in the implementation of Geophysics and Advance Geophysical Classification (AGC), specifically an AGC/DAGCAP removal action project on MMRP projects is preferred;
  • Experience in designing MMRP RI/FS using VSP is desirable;
  • Ability to perform successfully in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills is required;
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint. Experience with MS Projects is a plus;
  • Travel to meet with clients and project sites is required;
  • Must be able to pass any detailed background checks for access to military installations;
  • Willingness to work extra when/if needed including weekends, to meet project/proposal deadlines
  • Strict adherence to company safety and quality programs is required.


Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Geology or related field; and
  • Professional Certification (PG, PE, PMP, PGp or other) is preferred.
