Warehouse Associate

Interstate Power System's is looking for a Warehouse Associate for our Lakeville, Minnesota location. We are offering highly competitive wages with consistent increases.

Warehouse Associates fulfill a critical role in our operations by pulling parts orders, assisting will-call customers, checking in inventory, processing package and LTL shipments, and participating in inventory. This is a critical position in ensuring that the company can locate and secure parts for jobs to be completed in a timely manner. Making sure we can access the parts in an efficient and cost-effective manner ensures we are representing our customer's best interest.

Warehouse Associate Pay Range: $22.00-$27.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level.

Scheduled Shift: Monday- Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm

Job Duties:

• Pull customer and shop pick tickets, distributing parts as directed.
• Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to workers.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or transports orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information
• Open bales, crates, and other containers
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

Desired Qualities/Skills:

• Experience operating forklifts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Excel, Word, Outlook, etc., preferred.
• Proficient with computers and related computer components.
