Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is currently seeking an Entry Level Transportation Analyst to join our Orlando, FL team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals. Responsibilities

    Assist in development of transportation planning studies, report documents, and transportation master and action plans
  • Assist in traffic analysis, concept development, and traffic operations studies
  • Assist with development of support materials for public involvement activities
  • Support with authorship of project-related documentation for a range of transportation planning studies, demographic analyses, and multi-modal / transit-oriented projects
  • Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities
  • Assist with conducting planning assessments using analytical tools such as GIS to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop documentation to summarize results

Skills and Attributes

  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as ArcGIS and Excel
  • Working knowledge of software such as Synchro, Sidra, and HCS.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team-oriented with strong capability to work independently
  • A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve
  • The ability to work on multiple projects and work independently

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-1 year of transportation planning/engineering experience
