Position Title: Import/Export Manager

Location: Hybrid - Onsite at HB Fuller Corporate Headquarters, with 2-3 days required onsite.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Import/Export Manager to join our dynamic Integrated Supply Chain team and help drive our strategic growth initiatives. As an Import/Export Manager, you will be responsible for leading the International Logistics Team and collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient and smooth import and export of HB Fuller materials while ensuring trade compliance with global and local regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-term strategic plans, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee North America Import and Export operations, leveraging tools and automation to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners and freight forwarders to improve service and reduce costs.
  • Improve visibility of imported and exported materials for key stakeholders through the implementation of real-time tracking tools.
  • Prepare the budget for NA imports and exports, utilizing industry data to forecast and communicate changes through quarterly outlooks.
  • Initiate and coordinate optimal operational policies and procedures, ensuring international logistics and shipping teams are trained and comply with shipping legislation requirements.
  • Counsel internal stakeholders on tariffs, insurance, and quotas.
  • Maintain relationships with customs brokers, ensuring adherence to trade compliance regulations and efficient flow of goods through import and export customs.
  • Responsible for understanding all US State Department restrictions and regulations such as ITAR and TSCA.
  • Collaborate with sourcing partners and colleagues in other regions to develop global strategy for managing international shipping.
  • Work with shipping facilities to ensure efficient flow of import/export documents to prevent transit delays.
  • Maintain route and lead time inputs in ERP to ensure effective planning of pickup and delivery while managing proper inventory levels.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership position managing international logistics with trade compliance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of import and export processes and industry standard best practices.
  • Proven experience managing and documenting processes and procedures with strong change management experience.
  • Proficient in using data analytics tools like Business Intelligence, control towers, and Excel to analyze performance metrics, create reports/dashboards, and support decision-making.

Preferred Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams with a strong focus on career development for team members.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems and Transportation Management Systems.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams to develop international shipping strategies.
  • Knowledge of trade compliance regulations, including US State Department restrictions such as ITAR and TSCA.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $117,000 - $129,000.
