This position starts at $28.80 per hour.

This is the reasonable anticipated pay or pay range for this position currently.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
  • Housecleaning - keeping work area clean, organized, and cleared of trash
  • Responsible for assisting loading and unloading at warehouse
  • Conduct pre-and post -trip inspections of trailer
  • Participate in shift change brief
  • Perform all duties of a selector/shipper
  • Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner y=through the monitoring of incoming goods
  • Maintaining the food legislation requirements
  • Serves as a backup for other shippers/receivers and their duties.
  • Backup: Other Utility Shippers and/ or Leads
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor


Performs one of the following two tasks:



  1. Local vehicle operations involving position
  2. Moving trucks and trailers on and between warehousing facilities.


Job Qualifications:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and sufficient knowledge of IT and BPCS operations, responsibilities, workflow processes, and procedures to resolve inquiries.
  • Excellent driving skills, hand/foot-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
  • Good record keeping / clerical skills
  • Good far-visual differentiation and depth perception
  • Good basic math and reading skills
  • Good oral communication and human relations skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some experience or training as a forklift operator
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable
  • Regularly required to drive various company owned or operated passenger and commercial vehicles.


Physical Demands:



  • Lifting: Heavy lifting (over 50 pounds individually) - very infrequently
  • Moderate lifting (25 to 50 pounds individually) - frequently
  • Light lifting (less than 25 pounds individually) - very frequently
  • Standing: Ability to stand for entire work shift (8 hours) with exception of break periods
  • Walking: Ability to walk for entire work shift (8 hours) with exception of break periods
  • Climbing: Ability to climb into and out of a forklift periodically (less than 6 times per hour)
  • Bending: Ability to bend and/or stoop frequently
  • Pushing: Ability to push rolling product carts with loads up to 1000 pounds
  • Ability to push rolling dollies of products weighing up to 700 pounds
  • Pulling: Ability to drag stacks of products weighing up to 220 pounds with a dairy hook
  • Ability to pull rolling dollies of product weighing up to 700 pounds with a dairy hook
  • Other: Ability to work with arms outstretched to the front, ability to work with arms overhead and ability to climb a single flight of stairs
