As a Senior Manager,Regional Account Manager you will report to the Sales Director and will drive the profitable sales growth for USCA PPG Industrial Coatings business. You will maintain sales and increase the share of wallet at existing accounts, develop new business at existing account and spearhead new accounts. Using programs and developing new initiatives, the incumbent will support the business objectives for sales, profitability, expense control and working capital. Close cooperation between the strategic account managers, other sales managers, technology centers, marketing, product management, customer service, technical service and other PPG staff is critical to the success of this position.

Due to the nature of this position, this role may be based anywhere in the continental US within reasonable range of an international airport and may be remote/work-from-home.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving engagement, productivity and efficiency among their direct reports

  • Responsible for attaining sales growth targets established by the SBU by , managing the sales performance of their team members, both with regards to sales and profitability as well as behaviorally within the PPG Way to Lead and achieving volume commitments established by the department head.

  • Manage a portion of the sales staff to profitably grow the USCA Industrial Coatings business.

  • Develop and execute the business plan for the sales territory that aligns with the objectives of the business unit.

  • Utilize sales tools including value selling concepts.

  • Organize and coordinate the activities of the Sales team and supporting Technical Service team where applicable.

  • Oversee timely and accurate communications regarding customer requirements, business opportunities and issues.

  • Monitor and report market and competitor intelligence.

  • Invest a significant effort in developing a professional sales staff through coaching, mentoring and joint account visitation.

  • Support complexity reduction and business transformation initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or similar; or equivalent combination of experience, training, and coatings industry knowledge.

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B sales related to industrial products, paints, coatings, or similar batch high-volume business sales.

  • Experience with territory management and sales team leadership.

  • Strong experience with organizational tools such as CRM, Salesforce, or similar and general experience utilizing Excel to create custom reports.

  • Travel 50% to meet with customers and regional sales representatives.
