PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Director - Human Resources will serve as the lead people professional for a major EPC project, initially based in Houston, with frequent travel to the project site in Cameron, Louisiana. This role is integral to partnering with project leadership to drive effective people management strategies, foster an inclusive and high-performing workforce, and support sustainability initiatives. The position is designed to ensure that HR services align with Worley's ambition to lead in sustainability solutions and support business objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Strategic HR Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to the project leadership team, offering timely and relevant HR guidance.
  • Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement workforce strategies, overseeing recruitment for both staff and craft professionals to meet project demands.
  • Mobility and Onboarding: Manage employee mobility and onboarding, ensuring smooth transitions and effective integration.
  • HR Policy and Compliance: Interpret and apply HR policies, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards while managing employee relations.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Promote and implement DEI initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Remuneration and Reward: Collaborate with remuneration teams to develop competitive salary and benefits structures aligned with market data and compensation strategies.
  • Organizational Design and Change Management: Lead organizational design initiatives and change management processes to improve efficiency and adaptability.
  • Talent Management and Development: Oversee talent management strategies, including succession planning, employee retention, and engagement programs.
  • Performance Management: Support and participate in the annual performance management process, providing necessary training and guidance.
  • Community Outreach and Workforce Development: Lead workforce development initiatives and community outreach programs to enhance local engagement and talent development.
  • Crisis Management (R3 Support): Provide Ready, Response, and Recover (R3) support, managing the employment lifecycle from onboarding to exit.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong business relationships, ensuring high levels of collaboration, customer service, and client satisfaction through effective communication.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications:



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make well-informed, decisive judgments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization, influencing decisions effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with professional and emotional maturity, capable of handling sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work setting.
  • Experience in a multi-location environment is beneficial.
  • Results-driven with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and a growth mindset, with the ability to pivot in a fast-paced, evolving environment.


Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Extensive progressive HR experience, with a preference for candidates experienced in EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Expertise in change management, organizational design, and employee relations.
  • Experience working on LNG, refinery, or other industrial EPC projects.
