About the opportunity
SWCA is currently seeking applications for a Natural Resources Team Lead, supporting our operations throughout Minnesota and the Dakotas. The Natural Resources Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership within the Minnesota/Dakotas Natural Resources Program by managing staff, projects, and clients. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of developing new business, managing complex projects, meeting financial goals, and mentoring others to do the same. The Natural Resources Team Lead will report to the Office Director out of SWCA's Minneapolis, MN office. The offices in Bismarck, ND and Minneapolis, MN offer a collaborative and supportive work environment, and specialize in natural and cultural resource management, environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience and familiarity with the business environment of Minnesota and the Dakotas. This is a full-time, regular (with benefits), salaried position based out of Minneapolis, MN or Bismarck, ND. Individuals living in Minnesota are preferred. Remote employees in the Upper Plains/Midwest geography are encouraged to apply. If remote, occasional travel to the local offices would be expected. This job opening can hire at two levels:

What you will accomplish The Natural Resources Team Lead will manage current opportunities while participating in the development of a forward-looking plan for their team. This position will require highly developed critical thinking skills to recognize and solve problems proactively and independently, as well as identify and mitigate risks and impediments through persistence, creative thinking, and a focus on client satisfaction. This will include working with the Office Director, Project Managers, other Team Leads, and professional staff in the Minneapolis or Bismarck offices and surrounding states to further employee development and mentoring, provide technical leadership, and develop strategic team goals by contributing to the following: Organizational Leadership:

An employee in this Minneapolis, MN-based position can expect an annual salary of:
Senior Natural Resources Team Lead: $97,668.00 - $127,196.00 Natural Resources Team Lead: $85,176.00 - $111,297.00
Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
