THE JOB:

As a Poker Supervisor at MGM Springfield, you will play a crucial role in managing the operations of the Poker Room, ensuring that all non-management staff perform their duties efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Your leadership will help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, and you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, resolving issues, and enhancing the overall poker experience at the casino.

THE STARTING RATE: $27.85 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Supervise assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company's short term and long-term profitability objectives
• Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes
• Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
• Actively listen to employees and customers for input to provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processes to ensure company's competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs
• Greet players and maintain the list for seating them into the poker games
• Explain games and procedures and assist the guests with any necessary requests

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Complete knowledge of common rules and procedures of all Poker games
• General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Able to lead and mentor a team
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
• Has high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Has 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience as an Poker Dealer or Supervisor
