Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Corporate Driver Recruiting Manager

Wage Range: $16.19 - $23.06 per hour

As an HR Specialist for Corporate Driver Recruiting, you will assist in managing the pre-employment process for drivers, including processing applicant phone calls and electronic inquiries, working with the on-line application system, providing appropriate pre-employment screening and testing as required, scheduling interviews, maintaining pre-employment records within the on-line application system, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Respond to employment inquiries from drivers from any source (telephone, electronic, etc.) as quickly as possible.
  • Maintain the online application system with pre-employment information and process applications in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Order and administer pre-employment testing to applicants, including but not limited to drug tests, background and reference checks, and various testing related to individual job performance.
  • Attend job fairs and recruiting events to promote Dot and recruit talent.
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position


YOU MUST HAVE



  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree
  • Trustworthiness to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and other departments
  • Basic computer skills and experience



YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in recruiting and/or hiring practices
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail



ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Schedule: Part time - Flexible schedule: 20-25 hours per week.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to company meetings or events. Must have the ability to travel independently, as needed, by any mode of transportation, including by car, plane, or train.
