Position Function |
The Assistant Director of Student Life for Service Opportunities will plan and implement student volunteer engagement opportunities designed to provide students with meaningful service opportunities in the local, regional and national community. Provide support and resources for students and student organizations engaged in community service and philanthropy including advising Student Voluntary Services, Dance Marathon, Alternative Breaks, and Cardinal Kitchen. The Assistant Director of Student Life will foster and maintain relationships with community partners to create effective mutually beneficial service opportunities. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college by date of appointment. |
Minimum Experience |
Experience working with college students; clear evidence of skills in program planning and implementation; experience working in a community service organization or working with service-learning. |
Minimum Other |

Authorization to work in the US |
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. |
Preferred Education |
Master's degree from an accredited university or college by start date in student affairs, college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, social work, or a related field. |
Preferred Experience |
One or more years of full-time experience working with community service programs, service learning initiatives in a higher education setting with students and student organizations; supervisory experience. |
Preferred Other |
Excellent oral and written communication skills. |
