General Purpose:
Plans and schedules production at the facility using "best practices", current demand forecasts, and available operational information. Coordinates SAP for planning/scheduling of finished product. Works daily with Customer Service to ensure service levels are met.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Translate orders into a sequential work schedule
*Plans and schedules production.
*Analyze production specifications and capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine production process
*Assist Production in managing inventory and conduct cycle counts.
*Communicates to Customer Service any shortages/problems with finished product prior to shipments.
*Communicate with department supervisors to determine status of assigned production projects
*Manages plant master data including development of new materials and upkeep of current ones.
*Perform SAP duties and operate the production scale interface as required.
*Assist in closing process orders to ensure accurate data for month end close

*Support production as needed completing process orders in SAP as well as assisting in inventory management and packaging material cycle counts

*Attend scheduled production meetings as requested
*Assist in periodic cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory
*Communicate with Customer Service related to short lead time orders, delayed orders, or short shipments as needed
*Assist in other production areas as required.
*Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
*Assist in training of new personnel
*Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues.
*Perform related / additional duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
*High School Diploma
*3 years of experience in production area
*Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
*Knowledge / Ability to learn and use various computer applications. Microsoft office applications SAP preferred
*Understand planning and production methodologies.
*Very good understanding of plant processes in how it relates to production process for each line
*Time and detail sensitive.

Travel:
5%-15% (1-3 times per year)
