The ASAP Lab in the Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development, School of Public Health is seeking a Sponsor Funded Research Coordinator to help expand its current research efforts and contributions to the field of alcohol and sexual assault prevention. The individual in this position will contribute to all aspects of the projects they are coordinating.

Mark Chaffin Centers for Healthy Development is seeking (1) a dedicated and experienced Research Coordinator I.


Duties include but are not limited to:

Lead Completion of Project Tasks:



  • The Research Coordinator I will supervise current projects and student team members. This could include project planning, participant recruitment and retention, data collection, participant compensation, communication with participants and team members, and ordering supplies and equipment. The Research Coordinator I may also provide entry-level support on performing literature reviews, analyzing scientific data, writing scientific papers, or performing other related duties as assigned.


Project Meetings:



  • The Research Coordinator I is expected to attend project meetings to review project tasks and timelines. They will assist in coordinating students, faculty, and staff schedules, preparing agendas, keeping minutes, and distributing the next steps to the research team. The Research Coordinator I should help the team consider inefficiencies, propose improvements, and develop solutions when problems arise.


Manage Project-Related Reports and Paperwork:



  • The Research Coordinator will assist in the administrative management of grants. It is the responsibility of Research Coordinator I to keep the research team aware of deadlines.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in the assigned research area; or a combination of education and experience.


Preferred Hiring Requirements:



  • Prior research experience.
