Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Sr. Treasury Management Sales Manager to join our team. Here at Mechanics Bank, we value connection, partnership, long term relationships and working together in person. This role will be working on-site at our Walnut Creek, CA office.

The Sr. Treasury Management Sales Manager is a strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth and deepening client relationships across the Bank. This role leads a high-performing Treasury Management sales team focused on originating new business, expanding treasury product penetration to expand client portfolio, and delivering customized liquidity and cash management solutions that align with client objectives. The position will report and work closely with the Director of Deposit Strategy to develop and execute deposit and fee income strategies to achieve deposit and revenue growth plus client retention goals. The Sr. Treasury Management Sales Manager collaborates closely with the Commercial Bankers, Relationship Managers, Retail Banking Center Personnel and Business Banking Lending staff to deliver Mechanics Bank's suite of Treasury Management solutions to clients and prospects and manage the Treasury Management relationship within an assigned portfolio.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and drive the performance culture of the treasury management sales team by developing high impact coaching frameworks, aligning individual capabilities with organizational goals.

  • Drive strategic relationship management with high-value clients by identifying complex treasury management needs and delivering customized, high-impact solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, leveraging deep product expertise to influence client financial strategy and maximize long-term profitability.

  • Oversee the preparation of sales proposals, pricing pro formas, and presentations for prospective and existing clients.

  • Lead strategic collaboration with relationship managers, commercial lenders, and cross-functional stakeholders to uncover complex client needs, identify high-value cross-sell opportunities, and deliver integrated, enterprise-level financial solutions that drive revenue growth and deepen client engagement.

  • Monitor and report on sales pipeline, activity, and results; ensure accurate tracking in SharePoint.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treasury management products, market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements.

  • Champion client needs and support product innovation based on market feedback.

  • Represent and promote the treasury management brand internally and externally, including participation in client meetings and industry events.

  • Resolve escalated client issues and oversee the implementation of treasury management solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business preferred or 10 years banking experience.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of Treasury Management Service/Sales experience required.

  • Establishes working relationships with clients/prospects and colleagues with an ability to articulate ideas and solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and have a strong acumen for business and relationship development.

  • Ability to generate ideas to identify and drive the development of new business.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management, organizational, planning skills and customer skills.

  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources.

  • Strong working relationship with the Treasury Management Sales Analyst and/or Team.

  • Ability to use various PC and internet-based systems including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel for the role.

  • Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness.

  • Knowledge of credit and operational risk-ability to quantify potential exposure and advise the ability to create proformas and understand formulas involved in analysis.

  • Prepare and ensure proper execution of onboarding documentation for Treasury Management solutions to clients/prospects.

  • Create presentations, reports, collateral review and design, product review and enhancements, portfolio, revenue, profitability, pricing, and other duties as requested.

  • Excellent presentation skills to develop customized presentations for internal and external use.

  • Provides client support and product knowledge in relation to treasury management services.

  • Responsible for problem solving, and resolution of treasury management issues with prospects and clients.

  • Review and respond to referrals from Retail colleagues requiring a fast-paced analysis and professional communication to deliver new revenue and manage expectations of Retail clients, prospects and colleagues.

Salary: $190,000-230,000 annually

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
