Do you love wiring cars or working with electronics while supporting first responders? Do you have one (1) or more years of experience installing car radios, car alarms, body work and more in a fast-paced shop or related experience? Our client is hiring an Installer for the Charlotte, NC location. The individual in this role must be able to demonstrate proficiency with installations of mobile and fixed wireless radio equipment consistent with manufacturer and company guidelines. What are the main duties and responsibilities? * Demonstrate proficiency with installation of mobile and fixed wireless radio equipment consistent with manufacturer and company guidelines * Remove and re-install OEM vehicle interior trim * Install electrical wiring, connect electrical fittings, drill holes, soldering and perform all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment * Develop wiring routes throughout the vehicle for the most efficient wiring path and enable future replacement and/or troubleshooting * Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment as necessary * Complete installations for diverse range of vehicle makes and models, including sedans, SUVs, commercial trucks, buses, motorcycles, ATVs. * Maintain safe, clean and orderly tools and work area * Continuous learning in new products, skills techniques from colleagues and manufacturers * Assist with parts, shipping, receiving and inventory as needed * Complete all required paperwork and documentation * Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. * Other duties as needed or required Candidate will be installing emergency 2 way Motorola communications in Public safety vehicles. The client is looking for candidates that have good electronic wiring skills that can be trained. Experience installing lights, sirens and communications gear for emergency responders for the state of NC is a plus. Candidates need to be customer savvy as they will be working with Fire, EMS and Police to complete this project. There will be some travel to sites in surrounding counties. Mileage and any expenses incurred will be reimbursable through expense forms. Mileage will be paid at the gov rate. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Customer Savvy, Go getter attitude, documentation skills. *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
