WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:
- In partnership with functional leaders and regional operations, create and implement global supply chain vision and strategy to support growth.
- Develop and implement systems strategies that include, but are not limited to, improved inbound and outbound transportation financial performance; better data velocity, quality, and integrity; improvement in our customers' experience; consistent on-time payment of our carriers; and better partnership with other internal functions.
- Responsible for leading initial launch plans, implementation and continuous improvement strategies with a focus on automation and global optimization of tier-1 supply chain and logistic applications.
- Have the ability to operate from a global and company-wide perspective, maintain an inquisitive nature, and foster an approach that encourages partnership within and between functions.
- Create and implement transparency strategies using robust applications through a program management methodology.
- Drive operational efficiencies by using visibility systems and applications.
- Lead global visibility, and freight audit & payment initiatives and align cross-functionally with leaders across Operations, Sourcing, Procurement, and IT.
- Drive automated customer-focused solutions across all operations that reduce risk, increase efficiency and velocity.
- Monthly reporting on financial and operational performance by using business intelligence applications.
- Be a great partner with supply chain applications providers (Oracle, project44, , enVista, and others).
- Find opportunities that drive projects to improve systems and processes, reduce waste/cost and improve overall supply chain network efficiency.
- Support company operating systems.
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA/Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years proven experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory management, warehouse management, or transportation management.
- 5+ years project management experience in supply chain, inventory management, warehouse management, or transportation management.
- 5+ years' experience in tools using qualitative and quantitative methods to develop business strategies. Proficient in Business Intelligence applications (Tableau preferred).
- Strong analytic skills with demonstrated experience.
- Strong business judgment and competence with ability to create business strategy and gain alignment across cross-functional business leaders.
- Data-driven problem solving, strong analytics and the ability to act on performance metrics.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, team focused, and able to effectively run multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy and within established timelines.
- Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail and a passion for driving process improvement.
- Ability to lead a large group of external and internal contacts and communication.
- A validated business leader and role model.
- Ideally, experience working with computer databases and tools and process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Ideally, knowledge of manufacturing, global supply chain including import/export and regulatory requirements.
