Staff Physician 2 - Danville State Hospital

As a Staff Physician 2, you will be responsible for providing essential medical services to the consumers of Danville State Hospital. These services may include physical and neurological examinations, diagnoses, and subsequent care and treatment. It will also be your responsibility to document all assessments and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as any requirements set by accreditation and certification agencies. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • On call and lunch coverage are necessary as needed.
• Overtime as operationally necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:

• Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
