Job Summary:

The Director of Development for the Graduate and Post-Baccalaureate Programs is a senior level position within the College of Science and Technology (CST). Reporting to the Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, the Director is responsible for overseeing the development of CST's Professional Science Master's (PSM), Master's, and Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health (PBPH) programs. This role provides strategic vision and leadership to enhance existing programs while implementing new PSM, Master's, and PBPH programs that align with CST's academic mission and vision, with a particular focus on increasing enrollment.

The Director will collaborate closely with CST leadership in Admissions, Recruitment, and Communication, as well as senior leadership within the six academic departments and the PBPH program. A key responsibility is working with these stakeholders to boost enrollment and elevate CST's brand among peer institutions offering PSM, Master's, and PBPH programs. Additionally, the Director will support efforts in fundraising and in building relationships with industrial institutions to advance CST's programs.

The Director will achieve these objectives through the strategic and tactical execution of program development initiatives in partnership with relevant CST stakeholders. This role will also work with CST Communications to provide guidance on marketing, advertising, social media, public relations, and media outreach, both internally and externally. Furthermore, the Director will advise on the development and maintenance of CST's graduate and PBPH program websites, focusing on program content and other strategic projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:



  • Graduate degree (PhD and/or MS) in a STEM field with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Prior professional experience in an academic environment preferred.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to oversee the development of print and digital program promotion materials.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize results, extract insights, develop recommendations, and present findings to academic leadership.
  • Proven success in working collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and respond quickly when necessary.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to off-site locations/events relevant to PPH and/or graduate program development.
