In this hybrid role, you'll be based out of the Bay Area and report to our Chief People Officer.

You will:



  • Consult with executive business leaders to align our comprehensive people plan to drive business strategies and outcomes and offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution. Provide data insights and foresights to guide decision making, bringing forward proactive solutions.
  • Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue, no matter how complex, and design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organizational solutions.
  • Provide expertise and/or collaborate across the full cycle of People function areas for example: organizational development, career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of People Partners
  • Co-design and collaborate across our People team including HR Business Partners, Culture Programs & People Development functions, Compensation & Analytics, People Operations and Employee Relations, to set the vision for what's possible and move our talent strategy forward with business leaders.



You have:



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years relevant work experience, including HR experience, consulting, business partnership
  • 5+ years of experience building out, leading, and developing teams of high-performing HR professionals
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done and the next moment being part of deeply complex strategy discussions; effective balance of tailoring solutions and standardization
  • Great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data and can manage a complex set of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
  • Strong communication skills and an understanding of how to communicate large complex change



We prefer:



  • MA/MS or MBA degree
  • Experience partnering in consultative way across different organizational functions and/or lines of business preferably as HR Business Partner or in Consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to work within constraints and to challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with organizational transformations within high growth periods
  • Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and being a part of complex strategy discussions

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process.

Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
