Talent Acquisition Specialist I SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist I that will serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by acquiring the right talent to support business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the Talent Acquisition Relationship Manager for assigned business groups, developing staffing priorities, conducting weekly meetings, and updating staffing reports Source and staff open positions, ensuring a diverse slate of candidates and directly recruiting for employment consideration Collaborate with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans, and establish employment offers Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources (researchers, agencies, internet service companies, etc.) Develop approaches to identify and source needed talent through direct recruiting, Open House gatherings, Job Fairs, and Internet Recruiting Refer team members to appropriate contact points for headquarters talent management services (benefit services, complaint/issue resolution, drug and alcohol-free program) Build and maintain relationships with team members across the organization at all levels QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field Minimum two years of recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience Ability to make recommendations on hiring decisions to upper management Strong organizational and prioritization skills Proficiency in using PC and widely used software packages (e.g., Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database) Strong teamwork orientation Positive attitude and professional customer service skills Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and conciergewith extensive work-life resources Tuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program The base pay range for this role is $67,300- $90,900. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). This role can be based in TX, CO or MN. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan. Please make note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
