About This Role
The School of Accountancy at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant or Associate level with an anticipated start date of August 2025. The position will include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Productive research targeted at high-quality Accounting journals, excellent teaching, professional service to the Department, College, and University, and continuing career development is expected. Candidates with all teaching and research specializations are invited to apply. The average teaching load is 2/2 (6 Hrs. /Semester). The ideal candidate will also have experience working in Accounting. The culture of the department is extremely collegial and fosters a high level of quality research output. What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:




  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited Business School


  • Demonstrated potential for conducting high-quality research and publishing in high-quality journals in the Accounting discipline


  • Demonstrated potential for high quality teaching


  • Willingness to contribute to the service mission of the department and college


  • Ability and willingness to work with diverse groups



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Strong research record as demonstrated through publications in top academic journals and presentations at national academic conferences


  • Prior university teaching experience in Accounting


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


  • Related professional work experience


  • Commitment to understanding one's own experience and perspectives as well as the experiences and perspectives of others in an effort to cultivate strong relationships and effective collaboration
