The Hawes lab specializes in mixed methods modeling of social-environmental systems, with particular emphasis in infrastructure systems, food-energy-water systems, and outdoor recreation-based economies. The post-doc will have the opportunity to work on a number of projects ongoing or starting in the lab, including: 1. Candidates should have expertise in mixed methods assessment of social-environmental systems, including social science, natural hazards assessment, and/or coupled modeling. Candidates should show creativity and flexible thinking, be self-motivated, and able to work both independently with guidance and support as well as in collaboration with others.
