The Communications Assistant on the Customer Distribution Experience (CDx) within Pharmaceutical Solutions and Service (PSaS) will assist in creating compelling internal and external communications that support business and marketing objectives leveraging multiple channels. The individual will work independently and also work closely with all members of CDx Communications & Marketing, fostering teamwork and building trust at all levels of the business to contribute to executing impactful communication and marketing strategies.

* This is a hybrid position. Candidate must reside in the Dallas / Fort Worth with the ability to occasionally work at our Fort Worth office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content and user access management: Develop, maintain and publish content and visual elements for use on internal and external online platforms, in emails, presentations, videos, digital formats, print materials and events.

  • Maintain communication channels, collateral, and tools as well as user access. Socialize and implement communications processes including advising/training internal teams on how to create better communications. Learn and potentially leverage new communication channels.

  • Execute communication strategies: Support in the execution of initiative/project communication strategies and the CDx narrative.

  • Work individually and collaboratively with a team in recommending action, scheduling, and planning projects, estimating cost, if applicable, and seeing projects to completion, while tracking and measuring key performance indicators. Work across CDx functional teams and business groups to effectively prioritize work.

  • Advocate for brand standards and practices: Deliver content for various communication channels in a visually appealing manner, consistent with our brand and intended messaging. Uphold our brand guidelines and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure presentations are of a high standard. Create consistent themes, messaging, and branding in all communication touch points. Update/revise style guidelines to support CDx.

  • Aid in Business continuity needs: Help as needed with business continuity as it relates to crisis, weather or other disruptive events. Develop and or deliver communications for proactive customer messaging.

  • Navigate and prioritize miscellaneous efforts: Support the CDx Communication & Marketing team as needed for ad hoc content development or special projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in journalism, communications, business or related field is preferred, and typically requires a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:

  • Typically requires 2 years of administrative support or communications experience

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a desire to collaborate and ability to communicate across various functional areas

  • Fundamental understanding of professional writing

  • Copywriting/proofreading skills needed to support multiple mediums

  • Detailed-oriented with strong project management skills

  • Able to handle multiple, shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office/365 with proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel

Additional Skills:

  • Highly organized self-starter that can work under limited direction

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience in creating video and streaming content preferred

  • Process improvement mindset

  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus

Working Conditions:

  • The position offers a hybird work schedule with mandatory onsite meetings. Remote location base in the Ft. Worth area only. Relocation away from Ft. Worth now or in the future will not be considered.

  • The majority of our "nonessential onsite" employees will have the flexibility to predominantly work from home. With this increased flexibility around in-office presence, we want to maximize our time together and leverage the office as a destination. We will come to the office to meet intentionally for important events and activities, like onboarding and training, quarterly performance check-ins, staff meetings and team building, as well as brainstorming and strategy sessions.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
