Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Remotely with our client in Ballston Lake, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for adherence to compliance guidelines and federal registration requirements under the SAFE Act.
  • Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in a new loan application, from the customer, broker, correspondent, loan officer, and co-workers, to ensure a seamless and positive application experience.
  • Work with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain processing-related documentation or the necessary information to complete an application, such as Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, title search, appraisal, and client statements.
  • Immediately notify all necessary parties of irregularities relative to standard mortgage guidelines.
  • Monitor, update, and analyze credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and all verifications to ensure they adhere to product, underwriting, and investor guidelines.
  • Perform other administrative duties supporting the origination department, including, but not limited to, preparing and mailing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowner's insurance, mailing loan suspension notices, providing the closing attorney with additional documentation, and all applicable processing checklists.
  • Empowered to review and accept loan conditions based on underwriter requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines.

Pay: $25/hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (6 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in mortgage processing or underwriting.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Seasoned processor with a good analytical ability to assess conventional and government loan requests based on a thorough knowledge of the product, underwriting, and investor guidelines.
  • Ability to scrutinize a loan application to assess qualifications and can restructure a loan or recommend solutions.
  • Good analytical/mathematical background to evaluate changes to the borrower's current fee structure, allowable changes to those fees, and the re-creation of the required regulatory documents.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
