Description

Support critical USSF missions as a Wargame Planner at Schriever Space Force Base. In this role, you'll provide subject matter expertise in operations planning for wargame events, directly contributing to USSF's Title 10 Schriever Wargame Series and other mission-critical wargames. Your efforts will shape military strategies and drive key decisions in support of national security and space operations.

Pay: $148,000 - $163,000

Essential Duties

Wargame Design & Execution



  • Design, plan, and execute Delta 10 wargame workshops, seminars, capstones, and other wargame-related events.
  • Develop wargame scenarios, support adjudication, and facilitate discussions during workshops and events.
  • Coordinate necessary wargame documents such as orders of battle and toolkits to meet event objectives.


Collaboration & Strategic Coordination



  • Participate in Title 10/50 events, including key wargames such as Air Force's Global Engagement and Futures wargames, ensuring seamless integration with Delta 10 Wargaming efforts.
  • Support senior leadership briefings for USSF/CSO, CSAF, Combatant Command Commanders, and other high-level stakeholders.
  • Attend internal and external meetings to ensure alignment with leadership priorities and wargame mission objectives.


Data Collection & Process Improvement



  • Collect data from wargame events and assist in After Action Report development, capturing lessons learned to drive process improvements.
  • Support the creation of schedules, plans, and briefings, ensuring timely and accurate communication of progress and results.


General Support



  • Provide responsive and coordinated support to Delta 10 Wargaming leadership, ensuring successful execution of mission-critical tasks.
  • Participate in organizational meetings and wargaming-related discussions to maintain awareness of evolving priorities.


Required Qualifications



  • 10+ years in DoD or National space operations.
  • Strong understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), Joint Planning Process, and Joint Operations Planning Process as they relate to space, cyber, and terrestrial capabilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed (10-12 weeks/year).
  • Valid U.S. passport for occasional overseas travel.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience designing, planning, executing, or evaluating USSF space capabilities in wargames within the DoD, NRO, National Agencies, or other service wargames.
  • Familiarity with project management processes, including developing and managing project plans for DoD capabilities.
  • Expertise in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting simulation data to support decision-making and assessment outcomes.
  • Previous experience participating in Schriever Wargames or other DoD, Intelligence Community, or National wargames.


Education & Certification



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR additional years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement.


Required Clearance



  • Top Secret/SCI clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.


Travel



  • Moderate to significant travel required (approximately 10-12 weeks per year).
