We are currently seeking a Director, Fulfillment Operations to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. What You'll Do
- Champions a safety-first culture by conducting hazard assessment surveys for all job functions. Develops and implements specific training requirements to ensure all employees are well-informed about potential hazards. Actively participates in Safety Committee meetings to ensure safety protocols are in line with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensures compliance with quality system requirements by developing and maintaining policies and procedures that promote the highest quality standards in distribution operations. Regularly reviews processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure quality is embedded in all activities.
- Oversees the efficient inventory control, movement of materials, and shipping/receiving processes to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfillment. Coordinates across locations to ensure all orders are shipped on their scheduled ship date, with a focus on optimizing shipping effectiveness.
- Drives operational efficiencies and cost reductions through process improvements and the application of lean methodologies. Manages inventory levels strategically to minimize carrying costs while ensuring materials are available to meet company demands.
- Leads and develops a diverse team of supervisors and staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles. Conducts performance management and provide constructive feedback to foster individual and team growth.
- Oversees inventory management databases, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of all materials. Regularly maintain accurate inventory transaction records, including conducting daily cycle counts and periodic warehouse audits.
- Works closely with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to develop material schedules and ensure the efficient movement of materials throughout the distribution process.
- Prepares status reports for management that communicate performance related to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost) metrics. Utilizes data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and strategies to enhance overall operational performance.
- Ensures teams maintain accurate inventory transaction records including daily cycle counts and periodic warehouse audit for accuracy.
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems. Applies Lean methodology and Demand-Pull theories and concepts, along with visual management throughout the plant.
- Ensures compliance with Quality System Requirements.
- Responsible for behaving in a professional manner both internally and externally in relationships that positively impact the company's reputation and comply with the company's policies and practices. Responsible for being accountable and committed to demonstrating Breg's cultural beliefs and achieving the key results of the company.
- Responsible for promoting Breg's culture within the organization using established tools such as storytelling, providing focused feedback, and recognition. - Leadership responsibilities include selection, development, performance management and continuous recalibration of staff; ensures appropriate staffing levels and resource allocation; performs administrative tasks associated with timekeeping, pay, performance, policy administration and other matters related to employment.
- Assesses staff and provides timely and consistent feedback regarding technical proficiency and effectiveness. Provides constructive feedback, guidance, and reinforcement to employees regarding job performance. Works with staff to identify work goals and create individual development plans. Evaluates training programs to ensure content meets staff needs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of study, typically supply chain, materials, warehouse, distribution or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- 10 + years of progressive distribution/warehouse experience to include 3+ years effectively managing others; typically inventory control, manufacturing data systems, logistics and freight, international shipping ideally within the medical device industry is required.
- Proficient in the use of relational databases, MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is required.
- Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point capabilities. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.

Compensation Salary Range: $158,200-238,000 a year Actual compensation is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and business needs. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary/pay across all US locations. Actual pay is based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographical location, work experience, skill set, relevant trainings and certifications, and business needs.
