What's the Opportunity?

Do you have a passion for the environment and Geospatial Science? Join our national Geospatial Science Team as a Geospatial Analyst, supporting projects with cartography, data management, field data collection, spatial analysis, and Enterprise GIS. We look forward to collaborating with you on project teams as we solve some of the most challenging problems, together, in the industry!

Responsibilities:

As a Junior-level Geospatial Analyst, you will support projects across the country as a member of our national Geospatial Science Team (GST). Applying GIS to collaborate with our various Practice Areas, which include Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Natural Resources, you will have the opportunity to share your experience and grow with us around the application of GIS in a range of interesting and challenging projects. The position entails the following:



  • Working in a fast-paced environment that involves organizing and prioritizing work with tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Supporting our Geospatial Science Team by performing tasks such as data acquisition, data management, field data collection deployment, spatial analysis, web application development, and reporting/mapping.
  • Cultivating a friendly, supportive, and fun work environment through open communication and teamwork within and external to Anchor QEA.



What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

Required:



  • Minimum Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in a field related to the environment with an emphasis on Geospatial Science. Experience may be substituted for education for exceptional candidates.
  • Demonstrate 1 to 3 years of progressive experience with ArcGIS Pro, including Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst, while working in a consulting or equivalent industry.
  • Understanding of geodatabase design and feature class data management.
  • Understanding of Python for ArcGIS and SQL programming languages.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, spatial problem solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written.



Preferred:



  • Master's degree in a field related to the environment, with an emphasis on Geospatial Science.
  • Experience in environmental, engineering, or natural resources consulting.
  • Experience publishing data and applications for ArcGIS Enterprise and/or ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience designing and deploying Field Maps and Survey123 field applications.
  • Familiarity with R, JSON, Arcade, and/or JavaScript.
  • Demonstration of understanding with current and future trends and innovations within Geospatial Science and Esri technology.

Salary and Other Compensation:



  • Salary: $56,500 - $63,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.



Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:

  • Paid Company and Floating Holidays: 7 paid company and 2 floating holidays annually
  • Vacation: 2 weeks accrued paid vacation based on length of service. Vacation may vary by level.
