The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in aligning HR initiatives with business goals. This position is responsible for enhancing the employee experience and future proofing leaders while assisting with attracting talent. The HRBP will work closely with leadership and employees to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.

Employee Relations:



  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace concerns.
  • Conduct investigations and provide solutions for conflict resolution.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Conflict management in a psychological safety environment


Engagement and Retention:



  • Partner with hiring managers, recruiters, and employer branding to develop strategic talent acquisition plans
  • Design communication campaigns and enforce change management protocols
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze feedback to improve workplace satisfaction
  • Organize and facilitate recognition programs
  • Collaborate with managers and other stakeholders to identify training and development needs
  • Facilitate succession planning and performance management processes
  • Assist with training programs to enhance management skills and leadership capabilities
  • Promote coaching and mentoring programs


HR Administration:



  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all HR practices
  • KPIs management and impact understanding
  • Process improvement with focus on digitalization and automation of processes directly involved with


Other Responsibilities:



  • HR projects for Rental, or other levels of Atlas Copco Group (ACG)
  • Support to core HR services team for Rental


Performance Metrics (to evaluate performance, or that are impacted by the role):

To Succeed:

Education:

Minimum: a related 2-year degree with HR or related certification

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred\

Experience:

Required: 5 to 7 years of HR experience, in generalist role, OR 3 years of generalist experience in conjunction with 3 or more years of rotation through specialist positions in other HR related positions.

Experience In Lieu of Education: 1-2 years of experience for every year of education required.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:



  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to obtain a Visa for travel outside of Canada to the US and MX.
  • Previous experience in heavy industry businesses.
  • Previous experience with unions is a plus.

Operating locations that are occasionally outdoors and exposed to extreme weather conditions; loud equipment and continuous machinery running.

Job location

As a HRBP, you will be at our Delanco, NJ location. This position is a hybrid position and will report to the Human Resource Manager for Rental North America.
