Engineer II, ASIC Design, Irvine, CA

Responsibilities

Design, architecture implementation, layout and maintenance of analog and/or digital based application specific ICS (ASICS). Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation of next-generation medical monitoring ICs. Contributor to architecture design, circuit design, logic design, and system simulation. Involved in all aspects of the design from product definition through post-silicon evaluation. Work with external vendors as needed to facilitate the ASIC design process and support production test.

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor's (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Physics, or closely related field, plus 3 years of work experience in job offered or closely related occupation.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Physics, or closely related field.

Special Requirements

Required expertise/knowledge includes:

1. Experience with full-custom transistor level design, modeling, and simulation.
2. Experience with mixed-signal (AMS) design, modeling, and simulation.
3. Experience with design and optimization of precision analog/mixed signal CMOS circuits (e.g., ADCs, DACs, Bandgap References, Opamps, PLLs, DLLs, LDOs, Comparators, etc.)
4. Experience with design of low-noise sensor analog front ends (AFE).
5. Working knowledge of electronic measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, signal generators.
6. Familiar with analog IC layout

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time."

Salary: $111,426 - $120,000 per year.
