Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager, Enterprise Communications.
The Senior Manager, Enterprise Communications will serve as a content strategist and developer to elevate NYU Langone Health's intranet Inside Health into a comprehensive, thought-provoking, and informative site that delivers a stellar employee experience. This position will serve as the managing editor for all of Inside Healths news channels, driving the continuous improvement of Inside Health as well as awareness of institutional priorities and updates. This person will report to the Associate Director, Enterprise Communications, within the department of Communications, Marketing, Government & Community Affairs. Job Responsibilities: Institutional Communications:
- Support the Editor in Chief in planning and creating world-class content for our intranet Inside Health that more deeply connects our internal audiences to the institution and meets the needs of key stakeholders
- Frame content in a way that evokes inspiration, captivates stakeholders, and increases brand reputation by sharing NYU Langone Health's trailblazing endeavors
- Help to define and incorporate audience-specific content, channel, and engagement strategies to optimize communications that inform and inspire internal audiences
- Oversee layout and production of all Inside Health content
- Ensure adherence to standards for Inside Health's layout, design, style, and voice to drive a consistent user / employee experience
- Assist in developing and enforcing standardized processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across all communications
- Work with the Editor in Chief to maintain the editorial calendar for all of Inside Healths news channels, including the institutional homepage, campus channels, and any other platforms that may be used, ensuring timely and relevant content updates
Collaboration:
- Support the Editor in Chief in strategizing, planning, and executing institution-wide communications in coordination with key groups as needed to develop content, including executive leadership, department heads, and teams in Brand, Experience, Creative, & Design COE, Content Strategy & Development COE, Media Relations COE, Program Measurement & Business Operations Platform, and Enterprise Communications COE
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Content Strategy & Development COE to align on editorial calendars and key priorities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Associate Director of Enterprise Communications and the Director of Institutional Communications by discerning priorities and communication requisites while proactively identifying new ways for communications to drive institutional objectives and enhance employee experience
- Guide the team on how work gets done, set priorities, and ensure standards are understood and adhered to
- Troubleshoot technical issues with content platform with MCIT as needed
Operational Excellence:
- Collect and incorporate feedback on Inside Health to continuously improve the usability and employee experience
- Receive and incorporate insights from key metrics and outcomes to gauge the effectiveness of the communication strategy; adapt strategies based on outcomes
- Efficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent work
- Elevate the quality of communications to guarantee they meet or exceed established standards
- Ensure seamless communication alignment within a complex institution encompassing multiple campuses and geographic regions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field required
- 6 years of relevant work experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in communications, journalism, or related field, specifically institutional or internal communications.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies across platforms.
- Strong understanding of website content management systems.
- Passion for storytelling content creation and audience engagement.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and collaboration skills with a demonstrated track record of effective stakeholder management.
- Experience creating and managing engaging content for a broad audience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design consistency.
- Adept at building rapport and exhibiting strong interpersonal skills, with an established track record of cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and leaders.
- Possesses a growth mindset and willingness to use a test-and-learn approach.
- Experience using SharePoint as a tool for web publishing a plus.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
