Job Summary:
|
The Deputy Director will serve as a strategic leader for the Ludeman Family Center for Women's Health Research (Ludeman Center). With a passion for women's health and the work of the Ludeman Center, the Deputy Director will partner with the Director to manage the growth and development of the Ludeman Center's strategic initiatives, programs, and operations, which have been created to promote and advance its strategic goals. Together, the Director and the Deputy Director will lead a dynamic organization that includes Ludeman Center staff, Community Advisory Board, scientific leaders, and university leadership, producing impactful research, mentoring, education, and outreach programs. The Deputy Director will also manage the Ludeman Center's finance function with support from the Lead Business Professional and oversight from the Director and will pursue a diversified and sustainable financial model through a mix of philanthropy and university support. Key Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Director, senior faculty, and the Community Advisory Board, conceptualize, launch, and facilitate the delivery of strategic initiatives, including implementation of the 2025-2030 strategic plan to support the achievement of the Ludeman Center's goals and objectives at the university, across Colorado communities, nationally, and through partnerships with UCHealth and CU Innovations
- Oversee the development and execution of high-quality, mission-critical programs and events focused on the community, scientists, and health care providers
- Provide support and guidance for human resources, contract management, and operations
- Serve as the chief of staff for the Ludeman Center
- Pursue strategic relationships and generate an integrated approach to outreach that expands and enriches the Ludeman Center's university, campus, regional, and national presence with the goal of increasing its visibility, recognition, and support
- Provide opportunities for the Director, and be personally prepared, for key speaking opportunities, meetings, and media coverage to promote the Ludeman Center's mission, vision, goals, and achievements
- Implement strategies that enhance the reputation of the Ludeman Center as a nationally recognized leader
- In conjunction with University Advancement, strategize and develop individual, annual, multi-year, and legacy fundraising plans focusing on both current and prospective donors
- Serve as the Ludeman Center's chief liaison to the Community Advisory Board (CAB), providing strategic communication, regular progress reports, individual engagement, and relationship building, ensuring the CAB has the necessary information to fulfill its advisory and fundraising responsibilities

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- At least 10 years of experience in organizational leadership, financial management, strategy development, program execution, and external relations to include:
- Experience as a results-oriented, experienced, and highly mission-driven leader including an understanding of the role of a leader in supporting and promoting the visibility of an organization, publicly and behind the scenes
- Experience in nonprofit management, organizational development, and program management and expansion
- Experience identifying, cultivating, and stewarding prospective donors
- Marketing, communications, and brand development experience
- Staff management and professional development experience
- Experience working in a women's health, non-profit, healthcare, scientific, or university environment.
Years of relevant experience may be substituted for a master's degree. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities and strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate persuasively with a diplomatic, open style, and active listening skills;
- Impeccable ethics and the highest level of integrity
- Intellectual curiosity and an ability to bring new ideas to the organization, especially with regard to operational best practices and staff leadership
- Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Technological literacy including with MS Office Suite

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $170,000 - 200,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
