Solutions Architect - Enterprise Data Solutions

In this role you will be joining the Enterprise Data Solutions team, within the Digital & Information Technology organization. Driven by a passion for operational excellence & innovation, we partner with all functional groups to provide the expertise and technologies which will enable the company to digitalize, simplify, and scale for the future.

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our Enterprise Data Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both leadership of an agile squad and data engineering. This role will work closely with the leadership of the Talent Development Solution (TDS) business unit. This business unit contains our Skillsoft - focusing on B2B - and Codecademy - focusing on B2C - business. Acting as a subject matter expert in our data and technology stack the ideal candidate will define work coming through intake. The ideal candidate is adept at engaging in challenging conversations and remains open-mind and solution-focused.

They will be responsible for the organization of their squads work in our agile framework, the execution of said work, and release management for the squad.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Driving the advancement of Enterprise data infrastructure by designing and implementingthe underlying logic and structure for how data is set up, cleansed, and ultimately storedfor organizational usage
• Collaborating with technical peers to determine architecture and make critical technical decisions.
• Working with a technical product owner to manage the squad through our agile framework including:

• Working with the latest open-source tools, libraries, platforms, and languages to build dataproducts enabling other analysts to explore and interact with large and complex data sets
• Collaborating across the enterprise to enable and share best practices and reusable andscalable tools and code for our analyst community
• Championing the standardization of processes that generate data elements used in analysisand maintain document on lineage and definitions of data elements to support consistentusage in analysis.
• Establishing forward looking data and technology objectives and developing the strategies and actions for the team to achieve them

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Data Engineering, Information Technology, CIS, CS, or related field orexperience
• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Management space and working withenterprise level production data warehouses.
• 3+ years of experience in building cloud data applications (data lake, cloud datawarehouse, cloud analytical servers.) & deep understanding of Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Azure technologies
• 3+ years' experience with a data engineering/analysis programming language (e.g.,Python, R, Spark etc.)
• 3+ years of proven SQL Server experience building and supporting Data Warehousestructures and supporting end user reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI/SSRS
• 3+ years in understanding of GitFlow strategy and CI/CD concepts
• Highly proficient in data architecture and conceptual, logical and physical data modeling
• Experience in setting data design/architecture standards and best practices, leadingforums to review initiatives and ensure adherence to the guidelines.
• Established experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers ofend users.
• Experience with technology stacks available for Metadata Management, DataGovernance, Data Quality, MDM, Lineage, Data Catalog etc.
• Demonstrable experience in working cross functionally across an enterprise organizationto develop data architectures to facilitate business analytics.
• Ability to work and potentially lead in an Agile methodology environment.
• Experience and interest in cloud migration/journey to the cloud for data platforms andlandscape

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $135,000 - $170,000 annualized.
