What you'll be doing...

As our Associate Director Network Real Estate you will be responsible for leading your team and the success of our 5G deployment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with visibility, interfacing with Tower Companies, Sub-Markets, other Central Engineering Teams as well as Leadership. You'll be an important part of building support and having significant influence in our cities. As a leader in the Real Estate organization, you will motivate, coach and develop your team to maximize productivity and drive employee performance.

  • Handling large-scale complex projects related to macro deployment and modification in key markets.

  • Understanding and monitoring large macro deployment and modification strategies and delivering on KPI's.

  • Strategizing and evaluating multiple variables to determine best course of action during high-level negotiations.

  • Partnering with State Government Affairs, General Counsel and other entities to assess legal risk and provide oversight for contract language; developing processes for local municipalities and utilities.

  • Engaging directly in issue resolution to mitigate community opposition and elevate Verizon's image.

  • Building and maintaining close working relationships with real estate and engineering leaders in the submarkets.

  • Partnering with budget teams, territory teams, and submarket RE teams to identify opportunities for rent/lease reduction.

What we're looking for...

You get excited by the possibilities that technology creates and how it can improve the way we do business. While you are self-motivated and work well on your own, you are no stranger to working in a fast-paced environment, you convey a sense of urgency and balance multiple challenging priorities with ease, never missing a deadline.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in the Wireless Real Estate Industry.

  • Experience in managing projects.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.

  • Experience in real estate (e.g., commercial leasing/acquisition, property management, site acquisition, land use entitlements) or real estate-affiliated legal.

  • Ability to navigate internal tools (e.g., FUZE).

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coach large diverse teams toward common goals and objectives.

  • Experience with, reading and interpreting leases/contracts and financial obligations.

  • Knowledge of legal and financial terms.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Google's G-Suite.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Where you'll be working
