Position Summary:

Director, Patient Services Ophthalmology

The Director, Patient Services Ophthalmology is responsible for managing the strategic and operational plans for all patient services tactics to support the Ophthalmology product portfolio.

This key role is responsible for all Ophthalmology patient support inclusive of hub services, copay support, patient assistance, and adherence support. As Director, Patient Services Ophthalmology you will have the opportunity to drive an innovative and customized program to remove barriers and create an unmatched experience. The position will provide strategic direction by leveraging deep and broad understanding of Patient Services, competitive monitoring, industry trends and innovation, technology, and cross-functional business knowledge to address business.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Manage patient services program for Ophthalmology indications inclusive of vendor oversight, contract management, and monitoring of key performance indicators.
  • Embed a metrics-driven and partnership inspired approach to managing key vendors.
  • Responsible for end-to-end partner relationships to maximize performance for best-in class-service, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure long-term success of Patient Services strategy by understanding patient journey and best in class services required for excellence in the Ophthalmology space across reimbursement, financial support, and adherence.
  • Embrace continuous improvement initiatives and innovative program enhancements throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Interface with a wide range of teams, including Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to discuss service design and develop action plans for execution, in a constantly changing environment.
  • Collaborate and integrate processes with Director of Field Reimbursement.
  • Drive project management and execution for cross-functional Ophthalmology Patient Services Projects.



Education, Registration & Certification:



  • BA/BS required.
  • MBA preferred.



Experience



  • Ten or more years of experience in complex pharmaceutical operations roles.
  • Three or more years of Patient Services experience, with management of medical benefit/buy and bill program preferred.
  • Must have experience managing customer facing vendors.
  • Experience in Ophthalmology preferred.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel Requirements:



  • Travel 15% inclusive of Company headquarters and vendors.
