Role Summary

Provide administrative and operational support for the company's multi-state payroll function.


Role Responsibilities



  • Process payroll for VWGoA and related companies by applying company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations to calculate and enter data into the payroll system.
  • Administration of the payroll system including downloading and uploading of information, transmitting the payroll, receiving and translating data and master files, uploading time and attendance systems, creating informational reports, and trouble-shooting problems.
  • Reconcile the payroll, distribute payroll checks, balance tax filing data, process garnishments, remit voluntary deductions to various organizations, authorize the funding of payroll bank accounts, reconcile and distribute various types of data to other groups within the organization.
  • Prepare and enter standard payroll related general ledger entries.
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts.
  • Provide detailed information and data to Human Resources as needed.
  • Respond to employee's questions or requests for information on their payroll checks, internal and external audit requests, legal requests for information, and other payroll related inquiries as needed.
  • Assist with fulfilling non-standard employment verification requests.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Years of Experience:



  • 5 or more years of Payroll experience


Education - Required:



  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent years of experience


Education - Desired:



  • ADP Payforce experience

Specialized Skills - Required:



  • 5+ years of experience in multi-state payroll operations and payroll systems operations


Work Flexibility:



  • Ability to work as a team member within a strict deadline oriented environment.
