This position requires consummate skills in physician and health professions faculty education, development and relations, staff management and development, fiscal management, and expertise in regulatory and certification matters within the context of continuing medical education. This includes ACCME standards and policies including the Standards for Commercial Support, as well as the American Medical Association's Physician Recognition Award (AMA PRA), other interprofessional accreditation requirements, specialty boards, and state professional license requirements. Familiarity with regulations of the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is also required.
Working with a high degree of autonomy through the coordinated achievements of the team, the Health Professions Education (HPE) Manager will manage the accountability and stewardship of human, financial and physical resources, including educational systems to achieve organizational goals and objectives. The HPE Manager will strategize, plan and lead implementation of broad-scale operational and program improvements. Through regulatory/certification efforts and leading courses from concept through evaluation and certification the HPE Manager will affect overall organization-wide performance and reputation.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor's degree in adult education or a related discipline or equivalent experience / training
- Three or more years of work experience in adult education.
- Leadership experience and skills in employee supervision and HR administration to effectively lead and motivate others.
- Broad knowledge of health professions education industry, adult-learning theory including educational concepts, curriculum, and competencies in clinical care.
- Broad knowledge of campus, medical center, HR and university policies and processes, including fiscal management.
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local laws and regulations including health and CME national accrediting organizations and state and federal licensing and regulatory offices.
- Conflict resolution skills to resolve personnel issues and counsel assigned staff to develop cooperative working relationships.
- Demonstrated skills to effectively manage multiple priorities in a complex, challenging environment.
- Skills to demonstrates adaptability and flexibility, anticipates and effectively handles change.
- Skills to organize program operations in an efficient and effective manner through improving health professions education program processes, procedures, and systems.

Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of work experience in adult education with a clinical background preferred.
- Experience in CME and/or adult education with experience in an academic health institution is preferred.
