Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Perform routine inspection on equipment and refer needed repairs to supervisor.
- Provide level 1 emergency and backup maintenance for sorter and conveyers.
- Assist lead maintenance technician with level 2 and level 3 repairs as needed.
- Work, as needed, in the absence of lead technician.
- Identify, document and communicate maintenance needs on all assigned shifts to team leaders and or managers.
- Must be willing and able to complete certification on all powered equipment in the building.
- Work at a range of heights including the ceiling and roof.
- Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientation and trainings.
- Evaluate and sign-out various equipment including lift trucks prior to use by assessing condition and defined specifications.
- Load, pick and unload inventory onto or off racks, pallets, skids, conveyers and or lifting devices.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
- Assist shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks.
Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or GED required; a technical degree from a related field preferred. Two to three years related maintenance experience required in conveyers, electrical, motor controls, mechanical, plumbing, mechanical assemblies and hydraulics Physical Requirements: * While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to: sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and crouch; use hands to handle or feel, and reach; talk and hear. * The individual must occasionally exert 50 to 100 pounds of force, frequently exert 25 to 50 pounds of force and constantly exert 10 to 20 pounds of force * Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
