This position is responsible operating straight or articulated rubber tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, in order to load trucks or feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  1. Up to one month related experience or training.
  2. Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.


DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Becomes familiar with digging plans, machine capabilities and limitations, and with efficient and safe digging procedures in a given application.
  2. Moves materials over short distances.
  3. Backfills excavations.
  4. Loads trucks.
  5. Measures and weighs materials.
  6. Creates and maintains inclines and ramps, and handle slides, mud, and pit cleanings and maintenance.
  7. Inspects material moving equipment and performs routine maintenance such as: lubricating, adjusting and repairing machinery; replacing parts such as gears, bearings, and cutting edges; fueling, and; cleaning.
  8. Inspect plant for necessary maintenance and complete repairs as assigned.
  9. Operate hand tools and safety equipment including, but not limited to: grease guns, wrenches, shovels, fire hoses and cutting torches.
  10. Perform safety inspections in and around plant.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.


Typical hours during Production are M-F 7am-4pm. Typical hours during Maintenance season are M-F 7:30-4pm.
