Shared Services: Human Research and Compliance (Full-Time, Day Shift) - Job Summary: The Research Compliance Analyst will provide support for multiple research compliance areas including Research Conflict of Interest, Research Education and the Research Audit Program. Serves as the institutional resource for Research Conflict of Interest (RCOI) disclosures and Research Education training requirements. Performs internal audits of research protocols to determine compliance with research regulations and Institutional policies. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Bioethics, Law or Analytics required. Three years of clinical research, regulatory compliance or research administration experience required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Knowledge and Skills: General knowledge of federal, state, local and institutional regulations and policies relating to research compliance. Knowledge of Research Conflict of Interest, human research, animal use, biological use, ethics, the scientific method and scientific terminology. Ability to summarize the objectives of a research protocol and identify data elements for audit. Ability to comprehensively and accurately analyze data and effectively convey written analysis to relevant parties (e.g. research team, IRB, regulatory authorities, etc.). Strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking and active learning skills Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships., Maintains strict confidentiality. Strong technical skills and experience with computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Jabber, Epic). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) or CHRC-eligible preferred.
