Waygate Technologies is a global leader in Non-Destructive Testing. The Shop Operations Planner will be supporting the Industrial X-Ray Systems (IXS) business unit in an exciting start-up environment at their Cincinnati Customer Solutions Center (CSC). This role is a unique opportunity implement and support shop operations in a customer facing environment.

As a Shop Operations Planner you will be responsible for planning and coordinating activitiesassociated with fulfillment of customer inspection service orders according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will develop capacity planning and help facilitate resource scheduling with direct inputs from customers, while suggesting improvements in products, processes and procedures.

As a Shop Operations Planner, you will be responsible for:

  • All activities related to the supervision, organization, and execution of a service project, including scope, time, contract, cost & quality management. Responsibility for project methodologies and standards including scheduling and control, to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Works together with high level people from the business and cross-functional teams. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done.
  • Handles standardized project processes. Guidelines for choosing the right actions. Processes and procedures are frequently updated by other functions and must be implemented in the department.
  • Handles diverse clients in a region. Works on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks. Some latitude to deviate from those conditions.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Service or Production planning).
  • Experience in analyzing and presenting data for management reviews.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to create pivot tables and use analytical features.
  • Experience using SAP, and scheduling/production planning tools is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
