MUST:

Experienced Network Architect

Active Top Secret clearance required

8+ years of related work experience.

Must have experience with leading a migration from IPv4 to IPV6


Expert level knowledge of key large-scale network technologies and protocols: Segment Routing (MPLS), multi-tenancy, Cisco ACI.

Hands-on experience with network automation frameworks and ability to lead engineers through the standardization/simplification benefits of Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

Solid understanding of large-scale network security deployments and Defense in Depth strategies implemented using multiple vendors (Cisco, F5).

Experience deploying in multiple network environments, including Service Provider, Enterprise, Data Center, and Cloud

Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred.


DUTIES:

Lead migration from IPv4 to IPV6, conduct post-mortems, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Define and communicate a forward-looking network architecture and roadmap for modernizing FBI's networks that aligns with best practices and federal standards.

Engage with executive leadership, NEAO team members, and technical experts both internally and externally to gather insights, align objectives, and shape innovative network modernization strategies.

Architect comprehensive network models that address complex technical challenges across multiple sectors while ensuring scalability, security, and resiliency.

Champion best practices and drive continuous improvement by integrating market trends and customer feedback.

Architect and provide strategic oversight for the implementation of enterprise-scale network solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Develop and promote cross-discipline network designs focused on operational efficiency, delivering cost-effective solutions that reduce expenses while maintaining high performance and resiliency.

Craft and present executive-level business cases that clearly articulate the strategic and financial benefits of network modernization initiatives to secure necessary investments.

Ensure all network architectures adhere to federal regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.

Provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies and innovative network solutions, serving as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external partners on technology investments and modernization efforts.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to evaluate the success of network modernization initiatives.

Direct, conduct, and participate in technical presentations, demonstrations, working groups, and workshops for executives and technical stakeholders to effectively communicate complex network strategies and solutions.

Report team status and identify risks.

Work directly with unit/ Agency stakeholders and program management.

Research and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, and user scenarios.

Collect and document user requirements.

Create user interface design specifications.
