Position Summary: Clearway Health is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director, Payor and Manufacturer Access to lead strategic initiatives that unlock and expand access for our clients to life-saving medications for patients. In this high-impact role, the Senior Director will develop and execute access strategies, strengthen relationships with payors and manufacturers, and drive innovative solutions that remove barriers to care. By anticipating customer needs and leveraging data-driven insights, you will create access pathways that improve patient outcomes while aligning with marketplace dynamics. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the pharmacy landscape, payor strategies, and regulatory frameworks to shape medication accessibility for our clients and their patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Payor & Manufacturer Access Oversight:

  • Develop Clearway Health's value proposition for payor, PBM and manufacturers for the purpose of unlocking access for our client sites.
  • Develop and implement innovative access strategies that break down barriers to medications across diverse payor and manufacturer landscapes.
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with payors, manufacturers, and industry stakeholders to align on mutual goals and enhance patient access.
  • Anticipate and proactively address shifts in payor policies, drug availability, and industry regulations to maintain a seamless access experience.

Policy Advocacy and Industry Leadership:

  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that improve access to medications for our clients and navigate evolving healthcare regulations.
  • Serve as a thought leader internally and externally, influencing key industry conversations on access challenges and solutions.
  • Shape Clearway Health's market entry strategies by ensuring access-related considerations are integrated into business decisions.
  • Implement systems and processes that proactively adjust to changes in drug availability, formulary shifts, and supply chain dynamics.

Collaboration and Impact Optimization:

  • Partner with hospital systems, healthcare providers, and internal teams to align Clearway Health delivered access strategies with patient needs and business priorities.
  • Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on evolving payor and pharmacy landscapes.
  • Champion cross-functional initiatives that drive medication accessibility, ensuring that access strategies are embedded across departments.

Customer-Centric Access Strategy:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive, patient-first strategy that ensures hospital systems and individuals receive timely medication access.
  • Identify and eliminate systemic barriers to access, using data-driven insights to refine and improve patient and provider experiences.
  • Successfully secure contracts and gain access for Clearway Health customers from LDD manufacturers, PBMs and payors.

Performance Measurement and Operational Excellence:

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payor and manufacturer access, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Build robust reporting and analytics frameworks to measure the impact of access initiatives and inform future strategies.
  • Drive operational efficiency by optimizing workflows, leveraging technology, and streamlining processes that improve medication access.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations related to payor contracts, reimbursement, and access.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to proactively address challenges related to compliance, contract management, and access barriers.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in specialty pharmacy, healthcare, or access-focused roles, with at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute high-impact access strategies that improve patient outcomes.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change at the executive level.
  • Expertise in navigating payor landscapes, regulatory requirements, and pharmacy access challenges.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial and other government payor sectors.
  • Prior experience in payor account management, high-volume systems, and large-scale healthcare partnerships.
  • Background in health insurance, PBM industries, or payor contracting.
  • Expertise in specialty pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA, 340B, and FDA compliance.
  • Track record in policy advocacy and contract negotiations.
