POSITION SUMMARY: In this role, you will take charge of identifying, planning, organizing, and leading the accreditation service program, which provides support and focus on attaining, maintaining, and re-accrediting client programs. Your focus will be on evaluating client progress toward accreditation goals, with a core focus on patient care, regulatory compliance, and subject matter expertise in accreditation needs of specialty pharmacies. Clients of Clearway Health represent a diverse landscape of care delivery, so the ability to organize and standardize processes to meet the demands of accreditation will be your focus. You will be responsible for advising and leading specialty pharmacy accreditation at our client sites and will complete gap analyses, assist with process design and policy development; and coordinating the accreditation journey. Proficiency in system design, reengineering, project management, quality improvement, outcomes measurement, and statistical analysis is essential for success in this role. A comprehensive understanding of contemporary outpatient/retail/specialty pharmacy practice is required to effectively manage department operations, including strong experience in quality improvement, personnel management, and supervision. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Lead a team of accreditation specialists and coordinators who lead the Clearway Health's client organizations in their accreditation journey.
- Delegate and organizes department responsibilities to subordinates in conjunction with the Senior leader of the Pharmacy Services team
- Serve as the subject matter expert on pharmacy accreditation within the organization
- Coordinate, plan, and resource based on expected accreditation demands, including initial and reaccreditation, and accreditation maintenance between cycles, for existing and new clients
- Organize and lead the team responsible for coordinating submission of required data elements to data validators each year, as required by accreditation standards.
- Assist other Clearway Health employees with crafting appropriate governance/oversight programs for their respective specialty pharmacies and provide guidance when questions arise.
- Aid others when implementing new accreditations and/or updated standards when published and assists the responsible area in implementing change within required timeframes.
- Interface with health-system partners' quality committees, and departments in the review of quality improvement data and in the implementation of appropriate interventions to effect improvement
- Develop specialty pharmacy policy and procedure templates related to quality oversight including, but not limited to, audit procedures, claims monitoring and validation, quality metrics, analytics, and quality performance goals
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with accreditation standards and ensures readiness for regulatory audits and visits
- Assist site directors with documenting and managing action plans if processes do not comply with requirements, including timeframes and specific actions required for compliance.
- Provide education on accreditation standards, quality measures and regulatory requirements governing the practice and delivery of specialty pharmacy services
- Uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain adherence to accreditation standards, organizational policies, and procedures.
- Assist in quality and process improvement activities, including accreditation-related tasks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as JCAHO, CMS, HRSA, OSHA, and national professional organizations.
EDUCATION:
- A qualified Pharmacist with a bachelor's or PharmD in Pharmacy is required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Maintaining an active Licensure to practice pharmacy is required.
- Certification by an accreditation organization (ACHC, ASHP, URAC)
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the Pharmacy field is required.
- Previous experience with accreditation preferred.
- Prior leadership experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Thorough understanding and proficient execution of pharmacy procedures, systems, and equipment in outpatient/retail/specialty settings.
- Significant direct experience in Pharmacy Accreditation, specifically URAC and ACHC
- Strong analytical skills to assess and enhance current pharmacy services and processes.
- Effective organizational and personnel management for streamlined operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborative problem-solving within and outside the department.
- Proficient in standard office software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, web browsers).
- Experience with pharmacy and EHR/EMR systems.
- Self-management and self-starting capabilities with minimal supervision.

Special Working Conditions (On-call, travel, shift, coverage):
- Travel as required to new, existing, or potential client sites for onsite pharmacy assessments, engaging with customers, site leaders, operational employees, pharmacists, and clinical staff to formulate optimization action plans. - up to 25% Travel
