The Business Manager will have direct supervisory responsibilities of a unit or multiple units, in addition to management responsibilities for a wide range of projects/tasks associated with primary business operations, academic, or student services. Responsibilities include day-to-day administration of specialized activities related to a business office and reports to management, provide recommendation and advice to management or other groups on process related topics and conduct or carry out work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations. Essential Functions
Supervisory Responsibilities: * Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. * Oversees the daily workflow of the department. * Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. * Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Duties/Responsibilities: * Business Partner to the Department Heads * Oversees financial aspects and budgets of assigned departments * Prepares Local Fund balance/budget reports and reviews with department heads - takes appropriate action * Create and monitor departmental adjunct budgets on a semester basis * Final Review/approver of Concur expense reports * Partners with FA2 and HR staff on relevant activities * Other financial/operational/budgetary duties as assigned by Business Administrator * Cost Object Approver Required Education
Required Experience
