West Valley Collection and Recycling, a Waste Connections Company, is currently hiring for an Outreach Coordinator! The Outreach Coordinator supports the community through waste reduction education and outreach programs including: business and food waste, single and multi-family residence outreach, schools, and community events.

Qualifications:

* Demonstrated knowledge and passion for working with local recycling and waste reductionresources.

* Intermediate skills inword processingandgraphics softwareincluding:Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), andAdobe Acrobat.

* Ability to conduct complex interpersonal interactions with others, trouble-shoot, solve problems, make decisions, operate independently and with discretion, and work effectively under pressure and with self-motivation.

* Must have efficient and organized work habits, and be flexible to handle needs as they arise.

* The successful individual for this role will be able to change direction quickly, work on multiple deadlines simultaneously and prioritize amongst many different projects, both on a daily basis and projects with long term completion goals.

* Experience giving presentations to large and small groups.

* Demonstrated experience working through projects with little supervision from start to finish.

Logistics:

* Typical 40 hour work-week
* Occasional evening and weekend work is required

* This role will be exclusively in person for at least the first 6-12 months

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 Annually
